  • 2 pie crusts, thawed
  • 1 tablespoon powdered sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup light brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted and cooled
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup pecans, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup pecan halves

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Lightly grease skillet. Using 2 thawed pie crusts, piece them together to cover bottom and sides of skillet. Sprinkle 1 tablespoon of powdered sugar over pie crust. In a large bowl, mix eggs, brown sugar, cooled melted butter, sugar, chopped pecans, all-purpose flour, milk, and vanilla extract. Pour in skillet over unbaked pie crust. Bake pie on bottom rack of oven for 25 minutes. Take out of oven and arrange pecan halves on top of pie filling. Return to oven. Reduce heat to 325 degrees and place on middle rack for 20-25 minutes. Let cool for 30 minutes and serve.
