Slow Cooker Cinnamon French Toast Casserole

Ingredients

 1 large loaf French bread, cut into ½-inch cubes
 ½ cup walnuts, chopped
 6 eggs
 1 cup heavy cream
 ½ cup pancake syrup, plus more for serving
  cup butter, melted
 2 tsp cinnamon
 ¼ tsp nutmeg, optional
 Powdered sugar, optional for serving

Directions

Lightly grease or line the slow cooker with a liner. Pour in the bread and the walnuts.

In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, heavy cream, pancake syrup, butter, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Pour the egg mixture over the bread and gently stir it all together. Set aside for 10-15 minutes, allowing the bread to absorb some of the egg mixture. Cover and cook for 2½ hours on high or on low for 5 hours.

Let it sit for 10 minutes before serving. Serve dusted with powdered sugar and drizzled with pancake syrup.
