Slow Cooker Chocolate Chip Scones

Slow Cooker Chocolate Chip Scones
Scones may sound fancy, but they’re actually quite easy to make and are perfectly paired with coffee or tea. These are kind of like tender biscuits but slightly sweetened. I made mine packed with chocolate chips, but feel free to add some nuts or dried fruits for a healthier version.
Ingredients
Directions
In a large bowl, stir together the flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar. Using your fingers, rub the butter roughly through the mixture and stir in the chocolate chips.
In a medium bowl, stir together the half & half, egg, sour cream, and vanilla. Pour it into the dry ingredients, stirring gently until thoroughly combined. Pour onto a lightly floured surface, and using your hands, gently bring it together, form into a round, and slice it into 6 triangles.
Line the slow cooker with parchment paper and place the scones about a ½-inch apart from each other. Lay a paper towel over the top, secure it with the lid, and cook on high for 1½-2 hours or until a toothpick comes out clean. Remove the scones and place them on a wire rack to cool before serving.
