Ingredients

 ½ cup water
 ¼ cup white vinegar
 ¼ cup apple cider vinegar
  cup sugar
 1 ½ tsp salt
 1 red onion, very thinly sliced

Directions

In a small saucepan over medium-high heat, combine the water, white vinegar, apple cider vinegar, sugar, and salt. Once the mixture reaches a boil, remove from heat and add the onions. Make sure the onions are fully submerged in the pickling liquid, stirring occasionally. Cool to room temperature and chill for 20-30 minutes before serving.
