Palomino Sauce

Palomino Sauce is a tomato and a cream-based sauce with a little extra zip. It is commonly served in Italian style restaurants. Now you can have it at home! We recommend you use our marinara sauce.

 1 tbsp butter
 2 garlic cloves, minced
 1 small onion, thinly sliced
 1 tbsp flour
 ¾ cup milk
 1 cup heavy whipping cream
 ½ tsp salt
 1 ½ cups marinara sauce
 ¼ cup basil, chopped
 parmesan, for topping

Directions

In a pan over medium heat, melt the butter. Add the garlic and onions, cooking until the onions are tender. Stir in the flour, cooking for 1 minute. Add the milk, cream, and salt. Stirring constantly until it reaches a simmer. Stir in the marinara sauce. Cook for 13-15 minutes, stirring occasionally. Pour over your favorite pasta and top with parmesan and basil.
