Fiesta Chicken Burger

Sometimes life needs a little spice! When you’re not in the mood for just a regular burger, this recipe is here to awaken your taste buds with a kick and a crunch. Chicken (or turkey) makes it a little leaner than a beef burger, so you can feel great while piling it high with flavorful pepper jack cheese, avocado, and corn chips. It’s a fiesta in every bite!

Ingredients

 ½ cup mayonnaise
 1 tbsp lime juice
 1 oz ground chicken or turkey
 ½ cup plain dried bread crumbs
 1 ½ tsp seasoned salt
 ½ tsp chili powder
 ¼ tsp ground cayenne pepper
 2 garlic cloves, minced
 1 tbsp canola oil
 4 brioche buns
 4 pepper jack cheese slices
 1 avocado, sliced
 Corn chips

Directions

In a small bowl, stir together the mayo and lime juice. Place in the refrigerator until ready to serve.

In a medium bowl, using clean hands, combine the ground chicken or turkey, breadcrumbs, seasoned salt, chili powder, cayenne pepper, and garlic. Divide and shape the mixture into 4 equal patties. Refrigerate until ready to cook.

Preheat the grill or a grill pan over medium-high heat. Lightly oil the grill, or warm the oil in the grill pan, add the patties, and cook for about 6 minutes per side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F. Serve the burgers on buns topped with pepper jack cheese, lime mayo, avocado slices, and corn chips.
