Buttermilk Pie

Ingredients

 ½ cup butter, softened
 2 cups sugar
 3 tbsp flour, rounded
 3 eggs
 1 ¼ cups buttermilk
 1 tsp vanilla extract
 ¼ tsp cinnamon
 2 large 9-inch prepared pie crusts
 Nutmeg (optional)
 Powdered sugar (optional)

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cream together ½ cup softened butter and 2 cups sugar. Once fully mixed and fluffy, mix in 3 rounded tablespoons of flour and 3 eggs until fully combined and smooth. Add in 1 ¼ cup buttermilk, 1 teaspoon vanilla, and ¼ teaspoon cinnamon; mix until fully incorporated. Pour into 2 large (9-inch) prepared pie crusts, half in each. Sprinkle nutmeg on top. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes, using a fork or toothpick, inserted into middle of the pies should come out clean. Let cool, then refrigerate for no less than 4 hours, or overnight, before serving. When preparing to serve, sprinkle powdered sugar on top for a sparkled look and serve!
