Palomino Sauce

Palomino Sauce is a tomato and a cream based sauce with a little extra zip. It is commonly served in Italian style restaurants. Now you can have it at home! We recommend you use our Marinara Sauce.


  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 small onion, thinly sliced
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tablespoon flour
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese, freshly grated
  • 1/4 cup basil, chopped


  1. In a skillet over medium heat, melt butter. Add garlic and onion. Cook until onions are tender. Add flour, cook for 1 minute. Stir in milk, cream, and salt. Stir until boiling. Stir in marinara sauce. Cook for 10-15 minutes stirring, occasionally. Pour over your favorite pasta and sprinkle Parmesan and basil on top.
