Beef Tacos

  • 1 pound ground beef round
  • 1 cup minced onion
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 teaspoons chili powder
  • ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • Salt and pepper
  • ½ cup tomato paste
  • Lime wedges, for serving
  • Lettuce, for serving
  • Tomatoes, for serving
  • Cheese shreds, for serving
  • Green onion, for serving


  1. Sauté ground beef with onion and garlic. Cook meat until no longer pink, then add chile powder, cayenne, cumin, salt and pepper. Cook with spices for one minute then add tomato paste. Cook for an additional 3-5 minutes. Serve in taco shells and garnish with any combination of toppings.
